Menorca: Menorca Food Recap

With a history of being controlled but pretty much everybody – Romans, Muslims. Spanish, British, French, and so on – it’s a total mix of cuisines and flavors. Abundant seas provide for plentiful seafood, while matures bring great meats and cheeses, plus fantastic vegetables and greens. The island’s signature dish is caldereta de langosta (lobster stew), other dishes include fabes con sobrasada (herbs and famous Menorcan sausages), arroz del senyoret (seafood paella-like rice), berenjenas rellenas (stuffed traditional al Menorcan aubergines), and much more. Local Mahon cheese is world-famous as is the ensaimada desert.
