Mexico/Baja Norte: Transpeninsular Highway Mexican Carretera 1
The Transpeninsular Highway runs up (or down) the entire Baja Peninsula from Cabo San Lucas to Tijuana at the US/Mexican border with a total length of 1,711 kilometres. We drove it from Cabo to Bahia de los Angeles, 1,115km through stunning scenery of mountain ranges in the middle, Sea of Cortez with beautiful seascapes and beaches, and surreal Baja California Desert with cardon cacti and boojum tres. An absolutely spectacular, desolate, mind-boggling drive, one of the most scenic in the world.
