Mexico/Chihuahua: Chihuahua City – Cowboy & Western Boots
Several city blocks in central Chihuahua City are taken by cowboy and western boot stores – it’s a total craziness! Racks and racks of boots of all styles and quality beg to be tried and bought. Not that I ever owned a pair, but the prices seemed much lower then country boots cost in the US, and variety much wider. A good pit of quality leather could be had for about 1000 peso/under $50, while some were 6-8k peso. There were boots made from fish skin, ostrich, armadillo, crocodile, snakeskin! Or a pair made from python!
