Mexico/Nuevo Leon: Monterrey – Barrio Antiguo
Right next to the wide open and modern Macroplaza lies the old district of Monterrey – Barrio Antiguo. It’s the city’s historic quarter, with cobblestone alleyways and colorful colonial architecture. Every building is either a bar, boutique restaurant, cafe, pub, or an antique shop – dozens of the former here on every corner. And while probably much emptier then normal – still life is coming back here with people enjoying the coffee and drinks as walking along pretty narrow streets.
