Micronesia: Kolonia – Local Markets
Quite a colorful, mostly fish market, in Kolonia, the largest town on Pohnpei. Blue parrotfish and many other reef fish, octopus, mangrove crabs, pacific lobsters, as well as fruits and vegetables – bananas, breadfruit, lime. And a lot of betel nuts – almost every male on the island is chewing them nonstop and appears mildly or severely stones.
