Mongolia: Driving in Central Mongolia
Central Mongolia roads (and in particular the road from Karakorum to Terkhiin Tsaagan Nuur Lake) are some of the most spectacular roads in the country – endless panorama of empty highway, mountains and valleys and pastures surrounding you everywhere, and countless amount of cattle (horses, goats, yaks, cows, sheep). In Mongolia, there are 75 million heads of cattle for a 3 million population, and also only 1% of land is used for agriculture. The only traffic on the road is cattle crossing it right in front of you. Oh, and check out an amazing leopard-print goat!
