Montserrat: Ruins of Plymouth
This was one of the eeriest things I’ve ever done – roaming around the ash covered buildings of the abandoned town of Plymouth – Montserrat’s former capital – before the volcanic eruption covered it in ash, rocks, and pyroclastic flows. Most damaged parts are off limits but even the outskirts present a picture of desolation as people abandoned everything they had and it’s been this way for over 17 years now. It felt like I am in a Resident Evil movie after a total alien/nuclear apocalypse.
