Mozambique: Bazaruto Archipelago From Air

Further up north lies the Bazaruto Archipelago, a true crown jewel of Mozambique – there are five stunning islands here with unbelievable beaches, dunes, and surreal scenery. There are five island in total here – Bazaruto (the largest), Benguerra, Magaruque, Santa Carolina, and Bangue. White-sand beaches line the islands’ shores, while the surrounding waters display gradients from deep blue in the Mozambique Channel to turquoise and green over shallow sandbanks, seagrass meadows, and coral reefs. Tidal currents create visible patterns of sand flats and channels between the islands and the mainland.
