Mozambique: Santa Carolina Island – Dolphins & Turtles

Bazaruto Archipelago is famous for sightings of dolphins and turtles. Five species of dolphins are coming here (bottlenose, spinner, common, humpback Fraser’s), and all five species of sea turtles (green loggerhead, hawksbill, leatherback, and olive ridley). Plus the ultra-rare dugongs! During the high tide, dolphins and turtles come very close to shore at Santa Carolina and you can spot them easily from the boat or even swim with them. We saw dozens of free turtles and pods of common dolphins.
