Myanmar: Inle Lake – Cruising the Inle Lake
Inle is a large lake in the center of Myanmar in the highlands. Populated by mostly Intha people living in stilt villages around the lake, it is a major source of fish, water for agriculture, and livelihood for everybody. People navigate the lake in small boats cross crossing it at high speed. There is even a sacred Buddhist temple with Buddha statues so wrapped up it gold leaf that you can’t even tell what they are. It’s great to cruise around the lake until the spectacular sunset lights the sky.
