Myanmar: Shwemawdaw Pagoda in Bago

Bago was the ancient capital of Myanmar and contains a whole bunch of visit-worthy sites. The golden Shwemawdaw Pagoda is the largest in the country, standing at 375 feet/114 m in height, taller then the Shwedagon in Yangon. It’s an impressive site, walking around this massive golden pyramid full of worshipers even in the midday 40 degree heat.
