Namibia: Etosha NP – Fort Namutoni
tosha National Parkis the biggest jewel of Namibia when it comes to wildlife and nature. There are several camps inside the national park, where you can stay and watch wildlife congregate near large waterholes. Fort Namutoni is one of the most famous camps and is located next to historic fort. Originally built as a German military outpost in 1897, it was later destroyed in 1904 during the Herero and Namaqua War but was rebuilt in 1906. The fort has whitewashed walls, a courtyard, and a watchtower, and you can watch the wildlife right beneath the walls. The bungalows are right nearby and are well-appointed with all amenities.
