Namibia: Etosha NP – Sunset at the Okakuejo Waterhole

Just an absolutely stunning sunset at the world-famous Okakuejo Waterhole in Wtosha NP – storm clouds, distant rains, setting sun, and wildlife coming for a drink (not much of it during the rainy season). Okakuejo Waterhole in Etosha NP is one of the best places in the world to see black rhinos up close and personal – they visit the waterhole almost religiously every evening, rain or shine. Slowly approaching from the savanna, the rhino went all the way around the waterhole, came to drink and then came up to the fence, just feet from the spectators. Apparently, the grass behind the fence is juicier and better than around waterhole, so the rhino naturally tried to break the fence and get to it a it, unsuccessfully. Alas, he went back to waterhole for more water and around the waterhole for even more, before slowly walking away into the distance. All of this against a backdrop of a stunning sunset!
