Nepal: Golden Temple (Kwa Bahal)
Kwa Bahal or Golden Temple is tucked away on one of the street off the Durbar Square in Patan and doesn’t look like anything special. But you walk through a small entrance into a courtyard where a stunning 12th century Buddhist temple and monastery shines covered in rich gold leaf and golden statues of elephants and lions are everywhere. It’s the most lavish temple in Patan and arguably on of the most beautiful in Nepal.
