Nepal: Jaganath (aka Pigeon) Temple in Durbar Square
Pokhara is a town about an hour flight west of Kathmandu. Two of the local attractions are interconnected – Mahadev Cave and Davi’s Falls. The river cuts a very narrow gorge sculpting the walls of a channel and then dropping down into a sinkhole. On one side of the road you can see the gorge and then cross the road and explore the Mahadev cave leading to the underground water chamber. The cave is a world famous Hindu shrine and Nepalis come in thousands here. The elaborate Hindu sculptures stare at you as you descend into the abyss.
