Nepal: On the streets of Sauraha town
Sauraha is a small village that serves as the gateway to Chitwan. Nepal government banned any accommodation within the park so now everything is done from here. It’s a total mess as everybody called their shack a “lodge” and now there are over 200 “lodges” prices as low as $10 per night. But despite the messy appearance, the town has its character, as only here will you see traffic jams of elephants on roads (elephants appear to abide by the British left-side driving rules)
