Nepal: Pokhara Shanti Stupa (aka World Peace Pagoda)

World Peace Pagoda sits at an elevation of over a 1000 feet above Pokhara Valley and Phewa lake below allowing for panoramic views (including the Himalayas if they are not in clouds). The pagoda-like structure is a Buddhist Stupa symbolizing peace and is a major attraction for both religion and views. It takes a steep hike up to the pagoda in the scorching 38 degree heat and absolute humidity but the panorama is worth it!
