New Zealand: Bushy Beach Yellow-Eyed Penguin Colony
Bushy Beach Scenic Reserve protects the habitat of the rare endemic yellow-eyed penguin. The penguins are critically endangered with less then 4000 individuals remaining in the wild, as the animal teeters on the brink of extinction. You can observe penguins swim and come out on to the beach from an observation point above the beach and coastal cliff.
