New Zealand: Clay Cliffs Scenic Reserve
Clay Cliffs is an area of bizzarre natural rock formation near the town of Omarama. Spiky towers and pinnacle are made of clay and silt and rise sharply from the ground into the sky, shaped originally by glaciers and then continuously by rain and thaw erosion. You can try hiking among the formations, although it’s more of a rock-climbing then hiking.
