New Zealand: Fiordland NP – Hiking Routeburn Track

The Routeburn Track is the most famous hiking  adventure in New Zealand and is world-renown for its stunning alpine scenery. The track goes for 32 km / 20 mi, starting on the western side of the Southern Alps and ending on the eastern side. But you also can do a portion of the track – hiking up steep grades from the Milford Road and up to the alpine plateau with snowy mountains all around, bizarre moss-covered trees along the way, and breathtaking views in every direction and with every step.
