New Zealand: Kahurungi NP – Moria Gate Arch

Moria Gate Arch is another spectacular arch in the Kahurangi National Park. The name was actually inspired by the Lord of the Rings. Here, you actually have to climb down into a narrow hole in the ground to enter a grand cave with opening onto the river. Moria Gate Arch is 19 m/62 ft high and 43 m/141 ft wide with its roof extensively covered with stalactites.
