New Zealand: Pancake Rocks at Paparoa National Park

Paparoa National Park is also known as Pancake Rocks – the limestone karst formations on the coastline here resemble neatly stacked towers of pancakes, thousands and thousands of them. The erosion from salty sea waves and howling winds full of salty rain pound these cliffs daily, creating fairytale formation. Several hiking trails with observation platforms allow a closer look at the caves, blowholes, and hoodoos.
