Nicaragua: Masaya – Mercardo de Artesanias
Masaya is known as the cradle of the Nicaraguan folklore and its artisanal crafts market is famous all over the Central America and beyond. It’s located right in the heart of the town and is known as “mercado viejo” aka old market. The market existed here since around 1900 and was later refurbished and restored as a tourist attraction. You can find everything here – paintings, woodwork, masks, and loads and loads of various souvenir trinkets.
