Nicaragua: San Jacinto Hot Springs
San Jacinto Hot Springs is a geothermal field on the southern side of the Telica and Santa Clara volcanos near Leon. While the field is not very large, it’s quite active with a lot of fumaroles, boiling pools, mud pots, and sulphur-crusted ground. The air is quite toxic here and you walk are pins and start coughing almost immediately.
