North Korea: Korean Countryside
Most foreigners who venture to North Korea limit their trip to Pyongyang. Not me! A four hour drive takes you south toward the DMZ across the rural North Korea – endless yellow fields of rice, orchards, farmers, villages. Private cars are almost non-existent in North Korea and the roads are empty sans tourist buses and people on bicycles. The landscape is beautiful – green hills and rivers, and endless rice fields.
