Norway: Coastal Norway Ferry Hopping
Driving in Norway invariably involves three things – narrow one-lane mountain roads, endless tunnels (many 10-20km long), and using car ferries that connect all the various islands along the coast and all the communities along the fjord. Driving from Bergen to Stavanger requires two ferries which in itself is like an adventure – cruising between forest-covered rugged islands of Norwegian west coast, rain and wind shlepping you around. Ferries are easy and convenient, you can arrive just a minute before departure, drive onto ferry, leave your car and go to top deck and enjoy the spectacular scenery.
