Norway: Kjeragbolten Balancing Rock
Kjeragbolten is a massive bolder stuck in a vertical crack of a cliff that plunges 984 metres (3,228 ft) straight down toward the Lysefjorden fjord. The boulder is 5 m / 180 cu ft in size, and if you have strong nerves and are not afraid of heights – you can climb on top of it. It looks easy on pictures, but actually trying to stand up on this rock you have your legs trembling below you and the sheer drop in every direction makes the heart nearly pop out.
