Stavanger is another historic city along the southwestern coast of Norway – dating to the 12th century. Old cathedral, old churches, old houses lining up the harbor and the hilly streets – all add up to the charm. But Stavanger is actually known as the oil capital of Norway. A lot of NATO military installations are also located here!
