Oman: Bukha to Khasab Road
One of the most picturesque drives on the Arabian Peninsula is on Musandam, driving from Bukha to Khasab. The road first goes along the coast then climbs up and twists in and out of the fjords of The peninsula. Yes, Musandam has real fjords, just like Norway and carve the coastline with deep incisions and steep cliffs dropping off into the water. In Norway, the fjords are glacially carved, while here they are tectonic, the result of plates moving against each other.
