Oman: Jalan Bani Bu Hassan Fort
Just about a dozen kilometers north of the town of Jalan Bani Bu Ali with it’s ruined fort (see previous post), lies another historic town of Jalan Bani Bu Hassan with yet another Omani fort – Jalan Bani Bu Hassan Fort. This one on the contrary is meticulously restored quite recently and is as massive as it is spectacular. You can walk on top of the extensive walls and climb all the tower for panoramic views of the desert landscape around and date palm groves.
