Oman: Muscat – Mutrah Souq
This is one of the most spectacular markets in the world – the Mutrah Souq. It is located near the corniche in the old town neighborhood of Mutrah, the souq is a maze of covered passageways interconnected under beautiful traditional domes. It’s very traditional Arab market – lots of Omani hats, traditional curved knives, frankincense and spices, textiles, jewelry, and a lot of antiques! In fact, it’s like an antique-hunter’s paradise with some many various metal trinkets, lamps, old keys, Arabic tea pots, and loads and loads of jewelry.
