Oman: Taqah
Taqah turned out to be a sleepy town on a beautiful Indian Ocean beach (probably sleepy because I rolled in here first thing in the morning). The beach is truly stunning here – fine white sand and a very broad strip lapped by green sea and bounded by black cliffs. Great birdwatching as well! The town itself has one major attraction – – the Taqah Castle – which actually is a combination of two structures: the lower and larger castle and a guard tower standing on a hill above it.
