Pakistan: Hoper Glacier

Hoper Glacier, at 2438 m (8,000 feet), is one of the fastest-moving glaciers in the world, shifting 4–5 inches each day.. it’s a stunning natural site, where you can stand above the river of ice and see how it flows from the mountain and around the plateau and into the Hoper River further below. The dramatic backdrop to the valley is quite dramatic with the snow-capped peaks of Spantik (7027 m) and Miar Peak (7257 m) of the Karakoram Range. Hoper Glacier is a valley glacier, fed by snowfall in the high peaks of Karakorums.
