Pakistan: Hoper Valley

Even more spectacular then Hunza Valley is the Hoper Valley nearby. The valley is small and narrow and surrounded by mountains and glaciers in three sides – Hoper, Barpu, and glaciers. Several small traditional villages are squeezed into the ultra-picturesque bowl-like setting – greenery with steep mountains all around and glaciers limited all access to this remote place. People still lead a very traditional life here and Hoper Valley is considered to the cradle of the Hunza people. The landscape is dotted with apricot orchards, cherry trees and potato fields.
