Pakistan: Minar-e-Pakistan & Iqbal Park
Minar-e-Pakistan is the central monument and attraction in a large green Iqbal park in the heart of Lahore. The monument commemorates the Pakistani independence as it was here that in 1940 the Lahore Resolution was passed calling for a separate nation-state for Muslims of the British Indian empire. The tower is 60 meters high and the surrounding park grounds are full of green areas and flowers.
