Pakistan: Peshawar – Markets & Crafts of the Old City

The old city of Peshawar is just one endless market, pulsing with energy and culture. There are fruit and vegetable markets, meat, fish, vast gold market area, craftsmen shops making traditional shoes, hats, men’s and women’s garbs, leather, textiles, brassware, spices and lots of food being cooked. Different areas of the old town have different markets, specializing in certain things – like Khyber Bazaar, Chowk Yadgar, and so on. It’s hectic and crazy sensory overload – and a lot of bargaining!
