Pakistan: Road from Balakot to Lulusar Lake

A stunning journey from 1000m elevation at Balakot to nearly 3400m at Lulusat Lake, going from forested valleys to above tree line and open snow fields. Along the way there are panoramic views in all direction, rapid mountain rivers and streams, deep valleys, and sharp mountain peaks. Honey industry is also thriving here with beehuts all along the road. The road itself is rough in patches and sometimes crowded especially near scenic spots and snow (it’s almost like many locals are seeing the snow for the first time in their life). Along the way, you pass through towns like Kaghan and Naran, both in scenic valley settings.
