Pakistan: Road from Gilgit to Hunza & Rakaposhi Viewpoint
The road from Gilgit to Hunza along the Karakoram Highway is a spectacular drive through Pakistan’s stunning Gilgit-Baltistan region, offering panoramic views of towering mountains, lush valleys, and sparkling glaciers. Hunza River runs all along the route and the biggest peak attraction is Rakaposhi at staggering 7788 m (25,551 feet) high (making it the 27th highest mountain in the world), with a massive glacier descending down from the mountain. It’s one of the largest glaciers in the Karakoram Range, descending from the southern slopes of Rakaposhi into the Minapin Valley.
