Pakistan: Wazir Khan Mosque
In the heart of Lahore lies 17th century Wazir Khan Mosque, a beautiful 4-minaret Mughal era architectural complex within another walled compound inside the walled old city. The mosque is known as the most ornate Mughal era mosque for its tile work and frescos adjourning the walls and cupola. In the center of the square courtyard is water pool for abolition, and from here tiled vaults lead to prayer halls.
