Palau: Eating Palauan Mud Crab

You gotta try a mud aka mangrove crab when in Palau – they are highly priced locally and several restaurants serve them although outrageously expensive at $40 per pound. But we also saw them in a local store for same (massive crabs 3-4 pounds in weight). So be bought the biggest one at $10 per pound and asked our chef in hire to prepare it for us. The result – a massive dish of a juicy crab with ultra sweet meat!
