Palau: Sea Passion Hotel
seapassionhotel.com
Sea Passion Hotel is a hidden gem of Palau, tucked away on the quiet side of Malakal Island. While many Koror hotels feel like urban transit hubs, this property manages to feel like a true tropical retreat. The absolute highlight is the private white sand beach and the calm, turquoise lagoon right at your doorstep. We spent our mornings watching the tide shift over the iconic Rock Islands from our ocean-front balcony. For underwater enthusiasts, the lagoon even hides a sunken WWII Japanese fighter jet you can snorkel to in minutes. The rooms are spacious, modern, and provide a cool sanctuary after a long day of salt and sun. We particularly enjoyed the convenience of being walking distance to several major dive operators and local restaurants. The daily breakfast offers a solid mix of Western and Asian flavors, perfect for fueling up before a boat trip. Evenings were best spent at the beach bar, watching the sky turn pink over the water with a drink in hand. The staff is exceptionally accommodating, adding to the relaxed and unpretentious vibe of the resort.
