Panama: Altos de Campana National Park
Altos de Campana is Panama’s oldest national park, established in 1966. The park rises quickly east of the Panamericana Highway and reaches the top at the Cerro Campana peak at 850-meter (2,789-ft) peak. From here, the views are panoramic out to the Pacific Ocean. There’s some good hiking to be had here along the Sendero La Cruz, that runs through several types of terrain, including humid tropical and premontane forests.
