Panama: Colon

Colon is a major port city on Panama’s Caribbean coast, and while it’s a stop point for cruise ships, it’s an absolute and total mess. It’s decrepit, dirty, crime-ridden and is nothing like Panama City at all. Poverty is widespread, the building are falling apart and look like Brazilian favellas, and the crime rates in Colon are multiples of the rest of Panama. Not much to see here either, except if you want to experience a general state of shock at the state of this town.
