Philippines/Bohol: Bamboo Hanging Bridge
There is a twin hanging bridge on Bohol over the Sipatam River. The bridges are suspended 82 feet above water and made entirely from bamboo (aside from rails). Interlocking bamboo planks make it appear flimsy and weak. Squeaking, swinging and general unstableness make it feel worse. Add to the fact that an average Philippino is about 1/4 of European or American weight-wise (I may be slightly exaggerating), and crossing these bridges back and forth makes for a exhilarating knee-trembling experience.
