Philippines/Cebu: Cebu – Metropolitan Cathedral
On to the island of Cebu! Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral was established in 1598 and was one of the first churches built in Philippines. The cathedral is dedicated to St. Vitalis and has undergone renovations over the years. Its architectural style combines elements of Gothic Revival and neoclassical design. Inside, there are beautiful stained glass windows and intricate carvings. The cathedral was bombed during WWII and later restored.
