Philippines/Luzon: Vigan – Market
Vigan has a massive market in its center – huge floors dedicated to local produce. There is a separate level for meat and meat products – Vigan is very famous for its longanisa (pork sousage made with sugarcane vinegar) and bagnet (crispy pork belly). The fruit and vegetable section is also packed to the rim with colorful stuff. Plus the rather smelly dried fish section and a lot of space dedicated to common houseware products which are naturally less tourist-interesting.
