Philippines/Palawan: 7 Commando Beach in El Nido
The beach is only reachable by a boat ride and was named after seven Japanese commandos found refuge here for several days at the end of WWII. The name aside, it’s a spectacular strip of white sand with crystal clear water, coral reef within feet off shore, limestone islands in the distance, and cold beer right in the spot.
