Philippines/Samar: Calbayog Cathedral
The coastal town of Calbayog is home to the Calbayog Cathedral aka Cathedral of Saint Peter & Paul. The Jesuits founded the cathedral here in 1599 and then the Franciscans rebuilt it in 1768, and then the current structure was once again rebuilt in the mid 1860s. It is considered one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the Visayas and the country overall, and it is the largest church in Samar and Leyte islands.
