The highest point in Pitcairn island is 347 m (1,138 ft), which is quite an elevation of you starting from zero of the sea level. The island being only a few km in diameter, the highest point gives an incomparable 360 degree panorama of the cliff vistas and the Pacific Ocean with its deep blue water. You are really in the middle of nowhere here – 15 thousand km from Europe, 10 thousand from America, 15 from Antarctica. Only you, the views, the ocean, and 40-odd interrelated citizens of the smallest nation in the world living in the town in the valley below.
