Pitcairn: Teds Side

The backside of Pitcairn Island is called Teds Side (although I am still not sure who Ted was or is). To get here, you have to get to the top of the ridge that runs across the island and then descend down to the ocean on the other side. No settlements or people here, but the European Union paid for the construction of an alternative landing here (in case the ocean is too rough in the other side). Like anything done by EU, this turned out to be a total waste of money as the only longboat the island has is kept on the other side and landing is impossible without it. So the locals use the alternative landing for some good onshore fishing. There are also several spectacular blowholes here.
